With running an art studio and teaching classes, an exciting new chapter is opening up with the illustration of children's picture book's.

After completing her B.Ed (Visual Arts) in Sydney Jules spent the next 9 years teaching HSC Art, Business and Legal Studies.
At the turn of the millennia Jules decided to follow her creative instincts, and the family relocated to the South Coast of NSW where she established her own art studio and supply store. Teaching classes, producing her own unique art and selling supplies have kept her busy ever since.

Jules took on the volunteer role of Coordinator of the Escape ARTfest in 2005. This annual celebration of everything art in the Southern Shoalhaven has grown rapidly under Jules’ leadership and her passion for art and culture is unwavering.

As a mother, artist, business owner, teacher and hard working community volunteer, Jules admits that life is a bit hectic at times, “I constantly struggle with the delicate balance between doing the things I love and the things I must.”

“Life can be chaos, but thus far in my life I have been privileged enough to be able to make a living doing the very things that I’m compelled to do… making art, teaching art and working with creative people.”

Always on the look out for new adventures, illustrating her daughter’s first story has taken Jules in an exciting new direction. “After the first book was complete I was keen to explore this new ‘medium’ and quickly accepted a second chance to illustrate; it’s been an amazing journey and I’m keen to continue with it.”
