I love life. Full-tilt; full-on! I spent the first 20 years of my life feeling loathsome and lonely, and I plan to spend the rest of my life making up for it.
I’m renowned for my energy, enthusiasm and passion, but particularly for my desire to see people rise to their full potential. I am a motivator. I do this through blogs, social media sites, public speaking, and now through my first book, a motivational memoir.
I have had a life-long dream to live in a ‘bed on wheels’ and travel this great country of ours. I am fulfilling that dream. I love my technicolour van, affectionately known as BUZZ, which carries me and my hubby on our adventures throughout Australia.
I grew up in a suburb of Wollongong, NSW but presently call a sleepy little village in a South Coast national park ‘home’. My days are filled with beach walks, splashing in the waves, stumbling upon mobs of kangaroos on my regular bush walks, volunteering at the Olive Tree Art House and writing. I’m lulled to sleep each evening by the sound of the nearby ocean and am awakened at sunrise with birdsong, excited about life, meeting new people, and the opportunity to write for another day.
I’ve been married to the same man for 33 years (barring a ‘short spell’ that we miraculously recovered from, the dirt of which you can read about in FALLING UP STAIRS), we have five children (all born in the same decade we were married in), and two ring-ins I refer to as ‘surrogates’. My children seem as hell-bent on populating the world as I was, and have already produced seven grandkids that fill my days with laughter, excitement, and everything wonderful.
I write. I love to write. Writing is a serious passion of mine – can’t remember a time when I didn’t write. I have kept journals all my life; still keep journals on our travels; worked as a journalist over a period of ten years; regularly blog on my website and fill social media with my thoughts and photographs.
My years, months, days and moments are filled with LOVE, JOY AND HAPPY VIBES. I invite you to join me.
